It didn't work in my cig. lighter adaptorApr 10, 2007
By D. Kovalak I'm not sure if there's something unusual about the cigarette lighter adapter in my Ford Escape Hybrid, but this dual outlet plug adapter didn't fit in far enough for the side contacts to touch where they needed to for the power to go through it.
It may be my particular outlet in the car, but I'd definitely check to make sure you have a fairly deep cig. lighter outlet for this to work.
The company did respond pretty quickly, but it would have cost them and me more than it was worth for a $4 item to send it back and try to get me a different one.

Lighter plugAug 06, 2010
By Gilbert F. Olvera This lighter plug did not work with my auto lighter plug. It keeps falling off because the shaft is to long when plugging it in. It will work with a deeper well socket.

Did not fit in my car 12V socketNov 25, 2007
By dsy1 The shaft is too long for my 12V socket and it would not snap in far enough to engage the metal tabs on the side of the adapter. In my Nissan when I try to push it in it does not go in far enough to hold and snaps back out. In my Chevy it goes in deeper and works for a while, but the shaft is still too long and if I hit a bump it sometimes springs back out and loses contact.

Works great but very bulkyDec 30, 2011
By Amurph89 I drive a 5 speed and this get's in the way when I'm shifting. It is very bulky and only rotates one direction. Does do what it's supposed to do though.

works perfectly!Nov 29, 2007
By Paul Michaud Okay, I know there have been a few negative reviews, but for the life of me I can't understand why. I mean I have a 1995 Ford Taurus and this fits perfectly in my car and does what it is supposed to do. I have a radar detector hooked up to this and I will be hooking up a GPS unit shortly. So I have no complaints. It works fine and for the price you can't pass this up. If you want to blow your money then feel free to pay for a more expensive unit, but they all do the same thing.
