HD Component Video SwitchMay 17, 2009
By A. Gluck My receiver in our home theatre did not have enough component cable inputs for our video projector, cable box, PlayStation 3, and X-Box. So we bought ths device.
This was actually the second one. We bought the dientical unit two years ago and it mysteriously started acting up recently. Horizontal green bars were scrolling down the screen. After a couple of hours of troubleshooting, it became clear the problem was with the component video switch.
The price of this unit had dropped dramtically since we bought the first one two years ago for about $150.
I am disturbed that the first switch went bad, but we plugged in the new one and the picture is back to looking great. So I am reasonably pleased since this switch is not a huge expense.
