Best keyboard ever!Jul 30, 2009
By Charles Hertz This is an absolutely terrific keyboard, best I have ever had. I "downgraded" from the twice-as-expensive Dinovo Edge; this keyboard eliminates some of the relatively useless frills on the Edge, and adds a numerical keypad, the absence of which is one of the Edge's big negatives. It is every bit as elegant. The "feel" is great. I have bought hundreds of products from Amazon over many years, and this is the first time I have been moved to offer a review.
I have no idea why Logitech refers to this as a "keyboard for notebooks" (which is why I didn't pay it any attention when I purchased the Edge a while back). The key size and spacing are identical to the Edge, and in fact the keyboard is actually wider than the Edge by an inch or so, thanks to the numerical keypad. It IS about an inch and a half less in depth, but really looks and acts like a full size keyboard.
It is true, as noted by other reviewers, that with the default settings, pressing a key on the numerical keypad will result in a big green screen display of "Numlock On," followed immediately by "Numlock Off." This is annoying, but can easily be eliminated by going to Setpoint Mouse & Keyboard Settings > Tools > Software Access, and un-checking the box "Show status setting changes on screen" - there is certainly no need to uninstall the Setpoint software, which is really quite handy for a variety of purposes, including assessing battery status, and assigning Hot Key and F Key functions.
I have had no problems with delay, as noted by one reviewer, and I suspect the delays he experienced in "chat windows" simply reflected the fact that the characters appear on the screen only after being reflected back across the Internet - the delay is likely there, not in the keyboard.

A pretty good keyboard.Nov 17, 2008

I bought this keyboard to replace my buggy Dinovo edge, and so far it has performed as I expected. The keys are pretty simple and the spacing isn't too weird (there is a giant delete key). The typing experience is pretty much the same as the Dinovo Edge that I returned, but this keyboard comes with a numpad which is a big deal for me. As far as looks and build quality, it feels pretty solid and it looks great. Its slim and pretty small and there is very little wasted space. It worked well straight out of the box and batteries were included in my package.
The only con I noticed is that there is a slight input lag at times. When i would idle for 5-10 minutes, occasionally it would have a delay before resuming full speed. I would be typing in a chat window and nothing happens and it comes all at once a full second later. Another annoyance is the crappy setpoint software included. After I installed it on my windows xp pro sp3 machine, each time I press a button on the numpad, the green text would say "numpad on" and "numpad off" with every button I press. It got really annoying so I just uninstalled setpoint software. It works fine without it.
If this keyboard was cheaper I would probably have given 5 stars, but for a 100 dollar keyboard, that input lag drops it to 3.5 - 4 stars for me.

Great Keyboard!Nov 14, 2008
By J. Campion This is a replacement an original DiNovo keyboard I've had for a few years - this one is better in every way - much nicer looking with the silver wrist rest; uses much less desk space and no more losing the numeric keypad under something else.
It has a conveniently located on/off switch and its the first wireless keyboard I've used with a CapsLock indicator - right on the CapsLock key.
I couldn't be happier with this purchase - highly recommended!

good but...Apr 02, 2009
By Alex Moomaw works very well. the thin design is perfect.
but there needs to be a small separating space between the qwerty key section and the key row for the F keys. i'm constantly hitting the F or eject keys accidentally.

Wonderful, smooth typing keyboardAug 01, 2009
By A. Helfer Amazon recently was selling these keyboards for half of MSRP, and Logitech was offering a healthy rebate on top of that. When all was said and done, I got one of these last week for 1/5 of MSRP. That's a steal for this keyboard.
I got this to replace a dodgy old Dell keyboard I had at work. The difference is night and day. The keystrokes are smooth, and I can type much more quickly on this keyboard. I have experienced no delays when typing, as noted by one reviewer. The key spacing is fine. I don't mind that the function keys are right along the top of the number keys. I haven't hit any by accident. While I haven't hit the "eject" key, it is pretty close to the backspace key (just above it), and that might bother some users.
The wireless flexibility is great. The build quality is solid -- it's heavier than I thought it would be. The rubber feet have it parked -- it doesn't slide around once it's placed.
I haven't seen the need to get the SetPoint software installed, so I am missing out on some functionality, but it's only bells and whistles. All of the basics work well without the software.
I consider myself lucky to have gotten such a great deal on a well designed keyboard. Thanks, Amazon.

UPDATE 8/18/09
I tried installing the SetPoint software, which I downloaded from Logitech's website, just to check it out. (I know I got the correct SetPoint software because I used Logitech's web tool to identify the proper version of SetPoint for this keyboard.) BIG MISTAKE. While the software appears slick and unlocks a few extra functions, it started causing lag in the communication between the keyboard and the CPU. I got a lot of lag in typing from time to time depending on the program I was using. It was distractingly bad. I uninstalled the SetPoint software, and everything is humming along perfectly again. This happened on a Pentium 4 machine running Win XP SP3 (32 bit). So, great keyboard, but Logitech's software is bloatware, especially when you consider how little functionality it actually provides vs. the amount of memory it chews up.
