Finally I can play my movies from my laptop to my friend's television :)
Just have to get an extension cable. This length is good and I won't change it since it can fit very neatly in my overstuffed laptop bag.

Adapter cable causes ghosting of the television image. The image being fed from the s-video source cable is perfect, problem was replicated on another LCD television set. And yes, I plugged the cable into the correct composite video jack. Garbage, do not buy.
